A new chic place where the old West Hobart Jean Pascal was.
I had a great pork pita? some many weeks ago in its first week of opening and it was very nice.
Love the decor and the staff were very friendly and gave a personalised approach to service, which I love.

Had a meatball pita and it was awesome, the service was friendly & efficient and the premises although compact is well thought out, creating a comfortable & inviting feel.

Perhaps the most telling factor was that the place was filled to capacity and beyond! To achieve this on a windy horrible day in a fringe location is an enviable accomplishment.

Looking forward to my next visit, I doubt it will be a long wait.

I checeked this place out recently...it was mid morning so I didn't have lunch but ate a yummy biscuit and drank some tea. All good and friendly staff. No kitchen though so no cooked breakfasts etc.

Had potato and leek soup and a ham & cheese paninni, both very tasty indeed.

I really like this place.

I LOVE the decor and the staff are very friendly, but my take-away panini took far too long, was ridiculously expensive and not that brilliant.

I will go back for more though and try other menu items and their coffee...

(The sweets I spied in the glass cabinet looked lovely)

I didn't dig the coffee so much when I visited - was pretty early on in the piece though.

Cops a pretty rating here - http://www.melbournecoffeereview.com/2008/11/the-pigeon-hole-93-goulbum-st-hobart.html

Hallo all, first post!

My partner and I love the pidgeon hole. The people are absolutely lovely and made us feel welcome from the day we first went there. We'd just moved over to that side of town and it's on the way to work for us.

I don't drink coffee, but I hear from my gf that it's generally good, and the hot chocolates are very good!

Food there is excellent, pastries are amazing and I had a roast egg dish there a few weekends ago that was smashingly good.

The service is the best thing though, they are so nice you feel so happy to go back there.

I found it rather insipid.

I thought his place deserved another plug.

I took a client here for lunch today and everything was brilliant, faultless service, food and ambiance.

And one of the best flat white's I've had in recent memory.

Well done!

One of my two fave cafes in Hobart.

What's not to like? they make their own bread, use real milk, make a mean coffee, serve up interesting and creative dishes (this morning I had a white anchovie, mozzarella and parsley panini), have lovely staff, and provides plenty of newspapers for browsing.

I've never had anything other than an amazing meal here.

I really not sure about this place - coffee was fine, but nothing to make it stand out.
