|
|
Finally made it down to Masaaki's. I was slightly shocked at exactly how far away Geeveston is, but it's totally worth the drive.
The tempura was, no exaggeration, the best I've ever had. It's so light that you practically inhale it. Tiny dishes of matcha salt, black salt and pepperberry give it a modern edge. The sushi is just beautiful too. The presentation is exquisite, even for a Japanese restaurant, and it's well tasty. There are a few veggie options as well.
Unfortunately the shop's closed until September 15th because he's heading back to Japan for a bit. I think I might have to make a regular trek over summer though. |

| Might have to post a map, from memory its not the easiest place to find, or has it moved? From memory it's in the back of another shop? Hear nothing but great reviews though. |

| It's 20 Church St. It is a bit tucked away but Geeveston is pretty small and there's a sign out on the road. I found it after doing an unnecessary u-bolt in the car park. |
