Opened recently in the revolvling turnstyle of failed food places, ex- Revolting Chicken, King of Lebanese and Big Dude Food.
Not much has been done to the interior - actually, nothing has been done to the interior - but I'm a sucker for sub-continental eateries and this one is closer to home than any other.
I'm happy to report that my three dishes to date have all been above par. The malai kofta was the best I'd tasted (albeit I'd only tried it from two other places - Spice and Tandoor Curry House - and only ordered it because others on this forum rave about it).
The menu appears to have some non-standard items on it and, while there is a bain marie in situ, all dishes came from the kitchen.
Two complaints (of sorts); two of the dishes were sweeter than I'd experienced elsewhere, bordering on too sweet. Also, the one dish I expected to have a bit of heat, didn't have much at all, but I'm sure that this can be rectified when ordering.
I hope that they last longer than the previous two tennants and look forward to working my way through the menu. |

I enjoyed my first taste of Bombay Dreams last night. Delicious!!
I had Butter Chicken ($16.00 main) and Naan Makani ($3.50).
The Butter Chicken was absolutely beautiful - rich thick sauce but only barely spicy which is perfect for me. THe Naan was thick and soft, very very nice.
I would recommend ringing to pre-order as the food is not sitting in the bain marie....but still, definitely worth the wait if you go in and order.
Great to have a fantastic local Indian takeaway |
